Cords of Life offers services that assist families with their transition from the streets or shelters into successful independent living environments. Housing is often not enough to end homelessness, it requires a change in behaviours, thinking and habits.  Our services are designed to increase the families ability to live independently.  All services promote integration of the families back into their communities to the greatest extent possible.

Food Pantry

We provide our clients with knowledge that will lead them toward wise decision making in the area of their finances.  We help them understand our money works and how to manage their own personal finances through:

Clothes Closet

We offer the Cords of Grace Clothing Closet.  Please click here to determine eligibility and hours of operation.

School Supplies for Children

We hold an annual back to school event for elementary and middle school children.

The children are given backpacks, pen, pencils, index cards, folders, notebooks and more to return to the classroom for a new school year. 

Life Skills Mgmt.
 

Life skills are the skills that a person must possess in order to be successful, in this growing and forever evolving world. These skills include:

Job Readiness

 

We help our clients identify their interests, skills and abilities.  This is the first step toward finding a job.  We then work with them to develop the skills needed to find  and keep a job.  This includes:

Holiday Assistance

Each year during the months of November and December we offer help to eligible families who are unable to provide a Thanksgiving meal for their families or toys for Christmas to their youth. 

Cords of Life Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit recognized by the IRS, and all donations to Cords of Life Inc are tax deductible in accordance with IRS regulations.
